Our Organization

We are a non-profit, tax-exempt organization supported entirely by donations. We are fiscally independent of our parent organization, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. Thanks to the foresight and generosity of donors, our local program is able to provide funding for Contra Costa County Puppy Raising Club.

Our Mission

The mission of Contra Costa County Guide Dog Raisers, Inc. is to provide financial support for Contra Costa County Puppy Raising Club. Because of this organization, we are able to fund socialization events and outings for the puppy raising club. Socialization exposes the puppies to environments they will need to confidently encounter as working guide dogs. This includes different modes of transportation, food distractions, other dogs, a wide variety of people and conditions, and other situations.
